This Privacy Notice for Consult Calendar ("we," "us," or "our"), a service operated by IM Werks LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("IM Werks"), describes how and why we access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our website at consultcalendar.com or otherwise engage with our consultation-scheduling service.
What Consult Calendar does. Consult Calendar is a marketing and scheduling service. When you submit your contact information and the case category you select through one of our forms or landing pages, we use that information to schedule a consultation for you with a participating professional-services firm (an attorney or mediation practice) serving your area, and we share the information you submitted with that firm so it can prepare for and conduct your consultation. Consult Calendar is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not evaluate the merits of any individual's legal matter.
Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at kcausey@imwerks.com.
We collect the personal information you voluntarily submit when you fill out a form on our site to request a consultation. This includes: your name, phone number, email address, and the case category you select (the general type of matter you're seeking a consultation about, e.g., divorce or mediation). We do not require you to create an account or register with us.
We do not collect payment card information from visitors to this Site — Consult Calendar's consultation-scheduling service is free to the individuals who use it. (Participating firms engage Consult Calendar for advertising and scheduling services; see our Terms of Service.)
All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes.
Some information — such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, and information about how you use our site — is collected automatically when you visit consultcalendar.com. This does not reveal your specific identity but helps us secure and operate our site and understand how visitors use it. We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies, including for advertising measurement (see Section 4).
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
To enhance our ability to run relevant advertising and update our records, we may obtain limited information about you from other sources, such as our advertising partners (see Section 4). This is used for advertising measurement and optimization purposes only.
We process your personal information to: schedule your consultation and connect you with a participating firm in your area; send you booking confirmations and reminders by email and/or text message; respond to your inquiries; operate, secure, and improve our site; measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising; and comply with our legal obligations. We process your information only when we have a valid reason to do so, including your consent where required (for example, for text messages — see Section 8).
This is the most important section of this notice. We share your personal information in the following situations:
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your text-messaging opt-in data with any third party for that third party's own marketing or promotional purposes (see Section 8).
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like pixels) to operate our site and to measure and improve our advertising. Some of these are necessary for basic site functions and security; others support analytics and advertising, including tailoring and measuring ads on platforms like Meta. To the extent these technologies are deemed a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable US state laws, you can opt out as described in Section 10 below.
We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyze use of our site. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer period is required by law. No purpose in this notice requires us to keep your personal information for longer than 24 months after your last activity with us, after which it is deleted or anonymized after your consultation request is closed out (whether or not a consultation occurs). When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, where that isn't possible, securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the personal information we process. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Transmission of personal information to and from our site is at your own risk.
We do not knowingly collect data from, or market to, children under 18. By using our site, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that we've collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, contact us at kcausey@imwerks.com.
Withdrawing your consent. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us at kcausey@imwerks.com. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Opting out of marketing. You can unsubscribe from our marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying "STOP" to our text messages, or contacting us directly.
We collect your mobile number and your consent to text you when you provide it directly to us, such as by checking a text-messaging consent box on one of our forms. If you opt in, the messages you receive relate to consultation scheduling confirmations and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you may receive one confirming text after you do. For help, reply HELP or email us at kcausey@imwerks.com.
No mobile information, including text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent, is shared with or sold to any third party for that third party's own marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing to subcontractors that support the delivery of our own services — such as our CRM/SMS platform provider (GoHighLevel) — is permitted so that we can operate the program itself; that sharing is never for a third party's own marketing or promotional purposes.
Because we don't require an account to submit a consultation request, there's no account to manage. To review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, contact us at kcausey@imwerks.com.
Cookies and similar technologies. Most web browsers accept cookies by default. You can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies; doing so could affect certain site features.
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting. Because no uniform technology standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this notice.

These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.

You have rights under certain US state data protection laws, including the right to know whether we're processing your data, to access it, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, to obtain a copy of data you previously shared with us, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. Depending on your state, additional rights may apply.

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity before acting on it, using only the information provided in your request or, if necessary, additional verification information.
Under certain state laws, if we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by emailing kcausey@imwerks.com. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year.
